Celebrate the fall season this year by joining Fredericksburg for a number of exciting upcoming festivals and events. We’ll begin the month with one of Fredericksburg’s most popular celebrations, Oktoberfest, beginning this year on Friday, October 3rd. Thirty-four years in the running, this popular event that celebrates Fredericksburg’s German heritage lasts throughout the weekend, ending on Sunday, October 5th, and includes events for all members of the community. Listen to live music from artists performing on one of our four stages, browse original works for sale by our local artisans, or take the kids to our KinderPark for outdoor fun. Adults can enjoy our German Bier Tent, Oktoberfest Bier Tent and Oktoberfest Vineyard, and participate in our 42 Domino Tournament.  As always, we’ll also provide a great selection of authentic German food. Be sure to mark your calendar and purchase your tickets for the Fredericksburg Oktoberfest today!

This fall we’ll also host the 24th annual Food and Wine Festival, to be held on October 25th at the Marktplatz in downtown Fredericksburg. Our large festival offers an impressive selection of Texas food, wine, beer and music, and includes specialty booths as well.  Don’t forget to stop by our Patron Party at the Marktplatz on Saturday, following Friday’s Celebration of Texas Food & Wine.  So fill up on the best of Texas food and wine this October with a weekend trip to our Fredericksburg Food and Wine festival. All proceeds to benefit the Market Square Improvement Project.

If that isn’t enough, October in Fredericksburg will include a number of other exciting events and festivals this fall that are sure to satisfy any interest. Love fresh produce? Visit our farmer’s market to shop from our local vendors every Saturday in October. Interested in running? Participate in the always fun Fredericksburg Kraut 8k Run & Walk on October 4th. You can even check out the Texas Mesquite’s Art Festival on October 10th and the Hill Country Indian Artifacts Show on October 18th. With so much to do, there’s no reason not to visit Fredericksburg this fall! View a full list of our events and festivals.

Staying the weekend? If you’re visiting from out of town, there’s no need to miss out on any of the fun. Stay awhile, and schedule a room at our wonderful Wine Country Hacienda, a bed and breakfast located right on Main Street in Fredericksburg, TX. The Hacienda is centrally located in the heart of Fredericksburg, providing guests convenient access to our festivals and thriving downtown life, while still providing a quaint, country atmosphere with an historical feel (also just one block away from our Historical District).  An original farmhouse built in 1912, you can enjoy Wine Country Hacienda’s unique traditional features, exceptionally spacious accommodations and modern amenities, along with amazing views of Hill Country scenery. Choose from among our distinct and cozy suites, including the Ruby Cabernet, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir. Additional hospitality options include the Hacienda’s equally charming thirteen bed and breakfast-style Wine Country Cottages along Main Street, where you’ll experience exclusive Concierge Service, private hot tubs, luxurious bedrooms, options for private wine tours and much more.

We look forward to seeing you this October in Fredericksburg!
