In addition to the blossoms, there will be superb shopping, butterfly gardens and walking trails. If you enjoy the outdoors and flowers – then this is a must do event. Wildseed Farms is the largest working wildflower farm in the country and has existed since 1983.
Fredericksburg Trade Days at Sunday Farms
Do you enjoy shopping? Are you looking for a new and unique shopping experience? Then drop in on the Fredericksburg Trade Days event from April 17th-19th. You can find all kinds of items for sale ranging from antiques and tools to hunting accessories and candles. There will be more than 350 vendors spread across six barns and many acres. If you get tired from shopping or need to take a break then you’ll be glad to know there are dozens of delicious food vendors. There will even be a Biergarten and live music – something you don’t want to miss.
Wings over the Hills
Do you enjoy birding and nature in general? Then the nature festival in Fredericksburg, Texas this April from the 24th to the 26th may just be the event for you. This year’s event will feature special guest Greg Miller whose birding adventures were featured in the non-fiction book, “The Big Year” and which was later made into a movie. The weekend will be filled with events promoting nature and providing education about the environment. There will be birding trips, butterfly walks, children’s activities and much more. Don’t miss out on this beautiful weekend!
Hill Country Film Festival
Do you enjoy independent films and like watching films from all over the world? Then come to Fredericksburg, TX from April 30th to May 3rd this year and enjoy over 55 independent films. There will be Q & As, filmmaker panel discussions and parties. This is an excellent chance to meet and greet filmmakers from around the world. It will be held at the Fritztown Cinema. An all access badge is $125 and this gives you access to everything for the whole weekend or you can do a day pass for $40 for Friday or Saturday or individual tickets for $10. If you’re a movie buff then this is a must attend event.
