Reasons to Spend November in Fredericksburg

Want to make your November memorable this year? Look no further Fredericksburg, TX, where throughout the month of November community members and visitors from far and wide can participate in one (or more) of our many entertaining events and festivals. We have everything from a Texas All Star Big Band Bash to an annual Christmas tree lighting trail. There are more than enough reasons to spend time in Fredericksburg, read on to learn more about all of the ways you can enjoy your November and where you can stay while in town.

  • Start your November off on the right foot with the First Friday Art Walk on November 7th. Spend the day exploring all fourteen of Fredericksburg’s art galleries that graciously open their doors to visitors to experience a variety of local, national, and international art complete with wine and entertainment.
  • On November 8th, stop by the beautiful Becker Vineyards for a unique “Punkin Chunkin” event that will be sure to delight both the young and young at heart. This award-winning vineyard has taken time each fall for the past three years to roll out the trebuchets and let the pumpkins fly with event coordinator Doug Moreland. Wine and a performance by the Singin’Cowboys will also be on site.
  • On November 15th, participate in the annual Fall Foliage Frolic Bike Ride, sponsored by the Hill Country Bicycle Touring Club or spend time at the Texas Hill Country Antique Show to be hosted in Fredericksburg. And in the evening, head to the National Museum of the Pacific War to step back in time and experience the cocktails and jazz music that defined the culture of the World War II era.
  • In late November, welcome in the holiday season with a stroll down our beautiful Texas Hill Country Regional Christmas Lighting Trail or lace up your ice skates for some outdoor skating at the Eisbahn rink, located at the Marktplatz in downtown Fredericksburg. On the 29th, indulge in sweet treats at our Holiday Cookie Decorating and German Traditions event at the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park.

These are just some of our many exciting seasonal events in Fredericksburg, visit our site online for a complete list of all we have to offer this month.
