Hill Country Oyster & Rib Festival July 12-13, 2019
Enjoy Gulf and East Coast oysters on the half shell, grilled, roasted and fried, plus seafood accompaniments, at a fun community festival with live local music. Friday, July 12 beginning at 4 pm, and all day Saturday July 13, 2019.

Night in Old Fredericksburg Festival featuring TWO COOK-OFFS July 20, 2019
Texas chili or BBQ? Why not both! There’ll be a CASI Chili Cook-off AND a Bar-B-Q cook-off sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbeque Society with brisket, chicken, pork butt, pork ribs, and jackpot beans categories. Celebrate at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds all weekend! Night in Old Fredericksburg Celebration is July 20, 2019, from 6 pm – midnight with live music by Chris Rybak and Moe Bandy. Other events include a Classic Car Show, live pari-mutuel horse racing (July 20 & 21), 2nd Annual Schnickelfritz Stakes – Wiener Dog Races (July 20), a Classic Steer Show (July 21), a 42 tournament, washer pitching tournament, goat roping, and more!

Fredericksburg Lobster Festival August 9-10, 2019
Feast on fresh Maine lobsters without traveling 2,000 miles Down East! The festival features these “Crustacean Sensations” plus adult beverages, live music and a dance floor, arts and crafts vendors, lawn games, souvenir e-photos, and more! Friday, August 9, 2019, beginning at noon, and all day Saturday, August 10, 2019.

Hill Country Harvest Festivals, August 23-24, 2019 at Messina Hof Hill Country Winery
At this festival you can pick and stomp some of the grapes that go into the Winery’s award-winning Port, enter your biggest grape cluster their Big Kahuna Contest, and take home a souvenir “Harvest Crew” t-shirt signed with your own purple stomping feet. Sunset Harvest Festival will be Friday, August 23, 2019 from 6-10 pm. A special Harvest Dinner and Port Vertical Tasting are optional. Daytime Harvest Festival will be Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 9 am – noon. A Harvest Brunch and Port Vertical Tasting are optional.

Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest, October 24-26, 2019
The Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest has been named one of the Best 10 Food and Wine Festivals in Texas!
Celebrate Texas Food & Wine on Saturday, October 26, 2019 will be held from noon – 7 pm on the Marktplatz in Fredericksburg. There will be fun for all with Texas food, wine, beer, live music, the Great Gargantuan Grape Toss, specialty booths, an auction, and more! General Admission includes a souvenir Fest wine glass, wine carrying bag, and six wine tastings. Additional festival events are scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday:

  • Go Texan! Dinner, Thursday, October 24, 2019: An evening including a Fest glass, wine tasting, music, and Texas cuisine at Messina Hof Hill Country.
  • Celebration of Texas Food & Wine, Friday, October 25, 2019: An evening of Texas wine and food pairings including a Fest glass, wine, and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
  • Grape Expectation Cooking School, Saturday, October 26, 2019: Four chef demonstrations including food and wine samples and printed recipes.
  • Patron Party on Market Square, Saturday, October 26, 2019: Alfresco Gourmet Luncheon including brunch with wine, Fest admission and 12 wine tickets to use at the Fest.
