Cork & Barrel

Once you step into the Cork and Barrel cottage at Wine Country Cottages on Main, you’ll immediately want to kick off your shoes and have a glass of wine as you enjoy this little piece of paradise in Wine Country.

Named after two key components of winemaking – the cork and the barrel – this country-style cottage provides lodging with the romantic and rustic ambiance of a traditional Texas winery.

While wine is stored in oak barrels during the fermentation and aging processes, the barrels can have a large impact on its resulting color, flavor, texture, and style. The barrels’ permeable elements also provide for evaporation and oxygenation to occur in the wine, which allows the wine’s flavor, aroma, and tannins to settle or soften. The cork too helps with the aging process and allows the wine to meet with the oxygen.

The Cork and Barrel suite was designed by a premier architect in the Hill Country and special attention was paid to the masonry and vaulted ceilings to create a unique, but beautiful setting for your stay. These aesthetics are paired with many modern amenities to pamper you and your significant other.
